Love vintage!!

Chi mi conosce lo sa: il biglietto d'auguri per me é quasi piú importante del regalo stesso! Per questo ci tengo a scovare quelli piú particolari in circolazione (ad esempio Papyrus!) oppure, la maggior parte delle volte, a realizzarli io stessa sfruttando anche le mille idee che si possono trovare su Pinterest!
Ho realizzato questo biglietto d'auguri per il compleanno della mia amica Giovy! Ama gli oggetti particolari, le cose realizzate a mano, il vintage e soprattutto le piace tantissimo viaggiare! Perfetto, no? :)

Per questa Birthday Card servono:

- cartoncino (dei colori che preferite)
- stampa di vecchie mappe vintage (si trovano tranquillamente su google!)
- ago e filo 
- e gli immancabili colla, forbici ecc..

 As those who know me know well, the birthday card is kind of more important than the gift itself! That's the reason why I care so much finding out the particular ones (like Papyrus!) or, most of the times, DIYing them, helped by the tons of idea you can find on Pinterest!
I created this greetings card for my friend Giovy's birthday! She loves unique objects, DIY things, vintage and most of all she loves travelling! Perfect for her, isn't it? :)

For this Birthday Card you'll need:

- cardboard (any color)
- printed vintage maps (you can google it!)
- needle-and-thread
- glue, scissors, ecc..

Summer lights

In queste splendide serate estive cosa c'è di meglio di una bella cena in giardino con gli amici lasciandosi trasportare dall'atmosfera creata dalle candele?

Questa idea per delle summer lights fai da te è davvero molto semplice ma di grande effetto! 

Ecco gli "ingredienti":

- vecchi vasetti di vetro (di qualsiasi misura!)

- legnetti e rametti 

- colla a caldo 

- forbici o cesoie

- candele

During those summer evenings I love to have backyard dinners with a bunch of friends, surrounded by a lot of candles lights! 

This summer lights DIY idea is perfect for that and it's so easy and so cool! 

Here you are the "main ingredients":

- some old glass vases (any size!)

- wooden sticks

- glue gun

- scissors

- candles

Dopo settimane di assenza rieccomi qui alle prese con un po' di Fai da te! Tra lavoro, esami e compleanno ho dovuto rimandare questo progetto che per me ha un significato speciale ma finalmente posso dire con orgoglio che oggi vede la luce!!

L'anno scorso, il giorno del mio compleanno, il mio ragazzo mi ha decisamente sorpresa! Scendendo dal treno infatti l'ho trovato lí davanti a me con un meraviglioso mazzo di fiori!! Inutile dire che mi sono sciolta dall'emozione!! Adoro i fiori e da eterna romanticona quale sono, mi impegno tantissimo a essiccarli nella maniera giusta per poterli conservare. La tecnica migliore a mio parere é quella di appenderli a testa in giú in un luogo buio ma arieggiato, io ad esempio li appendo nell'armadio lasciando mezza anta aperta e il risultato é ottimo.

After some weeks away from my Blog here I am with some DIY for you! Due to work, university and my birthday I had to postpone this project that means a lot to me, but finally, I can proudly say that it is now coming to light!!

 

Last year, on my birthday, my boyfriend definitely surprised me!! In fact, when I was getting off the train I found him here in front of me with a beautiful bunch of flowers!! Of course I was thrilling!! I love flowers and as romantic as I am I put a lot of effort in drying and storing them. In my opinion the best tecnique is hanging the flowers upside down in a dark but ventilated place, for example, I hang them in the closet, leaving the closet half opened and the outcome is great.

Ovviamente la bellezza dei fiori freschi non puó essere lontanamente comparata a quella dei fiori essicati, ma ho deciso di provarci ugualmente, per conservare il ricordo di quello stupendo regalo.

Per prima cosa ho separato i fiori dalle foglie e dal tessuto retato rosso che li avvolgeva. Ad un primo sguardo mi sono resa conto che i girasoli non avrebbero funzionato nel complesso quindi ho deciso di tenerli da parte per altri progetti! :)

Obviously, fresh flowers' beauty cannot be compared to dry flowers one's, but I decided to try anyway in order to treasure the memory of this beautiful present.

For first I separated the flowers from the leaves and the red fabric that wrapped them up. At a first sight I realized that sunflowers would not have been in complex appropriate so I decided to keep them for other DIY projects! :)

Subito dopo aver deciso quali fiori utilizzare ho preso un quadretto, ho tolto il vetro e ho aggiunto sul fondo il tessuto retato rosso che avvolgeva il mazzo di fiori per creare una specie di sfondo al quadro.
Piano piano, aiutandomi con la colla a caldo, ho realizzato la composizione floreale, dandole la parvenza di un piccolo mazzo ed ecco realizzato il mio progetto!

Spero vi piaccia almeno quanto io mi sono divertita a realizzarlo! :) a presto con nuove idee!!

After choosing the flowers, I took a canvas, I remove the glass and I added in the bottom the red fabric that wrapped the bunch up in order to create a kind of background.

Little by little, using a glue gun I create the flower arrangement, trying to create a little bunch and here it is my project!!

In the Pink!

Questo fine settimana la Riviera Romagnola è stata invasa da una "marea rosa"!! 

110km di costa infatti si sono tinti di questo colore e tra musica, eventi e fuochi artificiali si è festeggiato quello che viene definito "il capodanno dell'estate"!! 

Ecco un piccolo resoconto fotografico di un weekend tutto in Pink! 

This weekend the whole Emilia Romagna Riviera has been invaded by a "pink flood"!! 

In fact 110 km of this coast were all painted in pink and with music, fun, parties and fireworks it has been celebrated the so called "capodanno dell'estate" (summer's eve)!!

Quella che sta per finire è stata una settimana davvero piena di impegni ma sorrisi ed emozioni non sono mai mancati!!

Dopo un viaggio davvero estenuante per tornare a casa, scendere dal treno e vedere la persona che ami ad aspettarti è qualcosa di impagabile! Davvero la mia ciliegina sulla torta!!! :**

Reminder pillow

Oggi piove, fa freddissimo e sono reduce dal mio esame di Sociologia, non potrei immaginare momento migliore per mettermi al lavoro e dare sfogo alla mia fantasia!

Ho pensato quindi di dare nuova vita a un vecchio e anonimo cuscino utilizzando degli stencil decisamente fai da te!

Praticamente ho creato un promemoria di tutto ció che dovremmo ricordarci di fare ogni giorno..vivere, amare, ridere e imparare!

Today it's cold, rainy and I'm just back from my Sociology exam so, I couldn't imagine a better time to start a new project and give vent to my fantasy!

I decided to give this white and impersonal pillow a new beginning using some DIY stencil!

Practically I created a big reminder of all the things we must remember to do every day..live, love, laugh, and learn!

Per prima cosa ho stampato, utilizzando diversi font, le quattro parole che volevo riprodurre. Dopo averle stampate ho ricreato la superficie plastificata tipica degli stencil ricoprendole con dello scotch trasparente.

First I printed, using different fonts, the four words I wanted to reproduce. After printing I created the stencil's typical plastic surface by covering it with adhesive tape.

Nella fase successiva ho intagliato con un cutter le lettere delle varie parole prestando attenzione a lasciare un collegamento con la parte centrale nelle lettere a, o, g ecc..

Then I carved the letters with a cutter, paying attention to leave a link for the central zone of some letters like a, o, g, etc..

Non avendo un pennello per stencil ho scotchato un pennello normalissimo per far sí che le setole rimanessero compatte. 

Il colore che ho usato é il Perm Deck della marca DEKA, l'ho trovato in un negozio di fai da te e pittura, esistono tantissimi colori ed é specifico per stoffa in quanto resiste a lavaggi, sole, stiratura ecc.. proprio per questo motivo consiglio di prestare molta attenzione a eventuali errori, perché..dove lo metti, resta!

E dopo aver picchiettato pazientemente il colore, ecco il risultato! Un cuscino nuovo di zecca!

I don't have a stencil brush so I used some adhesive tape in order to make the brush bristles more compact.

I used a DEKA Perm Deck color, I found it in a DIY and painting shop. It's selled in a lot of colors and it's specific for fabric in fact it's water, sun and iron resistant. For that reasons I suggest to be very careful not to make mistakes because..wherever you put it, here it stays!

And after dabbing the color patiently, here you are! A brand new pillow!!
